The best place to grow olive biofuel is part of zone 8, zones 9 and 10.
Olives crops are freeze resistant to about 20 degrees fahrenheit above zero. Sudden dips in temperature under are "crop damage" and cut into bottom line, but this will not "kill the tree"... Olives can be farmed in the most temperate parts of Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, South Carolina and Texas.
The Islands of Hawaii are also suitable for growing Olive Oil Bio-Diesel. The tropical dry forest and lowland scrub areas would make ideal olive biodiesel farms.
