Two types of
people read this. One type is in denial, happiest denying the truth. The other
has seen all the "
Dystopian, Toxic Lake of Black Sludge" photos there are to see.
What is considered a green vehicle?
What does green vehicle mean?
How are green cars environmentally friendly? The shortest, most accurate answer is, green cars are not green, the pollution is just piling up or generated elsewhere (mining sludge, Iron Coke Furnace Slag, Carbon Emissions). No, we don't have a Coal-fired Coke Furnace in our driveway, but perhaps we should remember the race to drive the latest status symbol (following rare-earth-screen-brainwash) is causing deformed kids in the mining locales that made our "smart, green" cars, trucks or SUVs.
My new car and I are
saving the planet, so I have been brainwashed - brainwashed not to
research Lake Baotou Thorium Sludge. Before the first rivet is fastened into a new Tesla X
Model, gallons and gallons of Thorium radioactive sludge is pumped into Toxic
Lake Baotou. So much for a "zero-emissions" car. The cheap, Chinese
steel - the slag from the Coke furnace is dumped along railroad tracks. There
is no such thing as a "clean car". Cars, all of them, are dirty.
Some, easily, readily, frequently,
go up in flames...
If our car is an
Electric or a Plug-In Hybrid, and if we live solely within a Wind Turbine grid
- both the Wind Turbines and our cars contain Neodymium Magnets. Put plainly,
the Neodymium mining required for Solar Generators and Electric Automobile
Motors puts colossal amounts of pollution, well, elsewhere.
The Rare Earth
Metals in our phones, cars, SUVs, and "Smart" Technology devices,
follow a marketing strategy. It is only 4G, or worse, really ugly old 3G,
better throw it away and get a new 6G. Two years past bleeding-edge new
"Tech" is now useless junk - but the grotesque environmental damage
to Ganzhou, Longnan, and other areas in Jiangxi Province will last hundreds of
years. Electric and Hybrid cars begin with massive pollution in Jiangxi
Province and will end as massive Carbon emission "recycling"
projects. The people buying new phones and cars every couple of years are
driving huge mining sludge and tailing ponds environmental massacres. Much of the tailing ponds and mining sites contain
radionuclides.
If you were to add
in the environmental remediation of the Rare Earth Mining, Milling, and Tailing Ponds, most
"Green" SUVs (or Wind Turbines) would be dirtier than a Diesel Mining
Tractor.
Most environmental reclamation projects are tax-money black holes, many are endless, some are downright impossible.
Add in the cost (Carbon) of recycling all of the castaway
"Hi-Tech" and each piece of the puzzle becomes dirtier, yet. In the
case of a car or SUV, the CO2 starts at the Rare Earths Mine, way before the first car rivet. All of those batteries, after
the car is "retired," the Lithium, Nickel, and Cobalt have to be
"recycled" (the car's CO2 footprint after death). If you own the car
for 4-5 years, you will have to replace the batteries - creating Thorium sludge
in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China, or one of the other top 10 Rare Earth hells.
The Mountain Pass
Rare Earth Mine is an open-pit mine of rare earth elements (REEs) on the south
flank of the Clark Mountain Range, just north of the unincorporated community
of Mountain Pass, California, United States. The mine, owned by Molycorp Inc.,
once supplied most of the world's rare earth elements. Molycorp is in bankruptcy
proceedings as of Jan 2016. (2) How handy, to go bankrupt and leave all the
"clean up" to Senate Republicans.
There are common
lessons in Uranium Mining, Fracking, Over-Fishing, Logging, and Rare-Earth
Mining:
1) The practice
hurts you by hurting the planet (all of us)
2) Our Tax Dollars
and Public Land Subsidize Careless, Soul-less Companies
3 The Operatory
(Corporate Entity) Goes Bankrupt
4) For dozens or
hundreds of years thereafter, our tax dollars are spent on hopeless
"reclamation" projects.
Everyone who drives
has a favorite "old car" they wish they had never sold. You know
what? Never, ever sell a car like that. Don't buy a Rare Earth's toxic,
flammable battery on wheels and do the research, there are no "Zero
Carbon" cars, there are only zero brains consumers buying a bill of
goods.
All the new SUVs and
Electrics, Hybrids, etc., have a "Touch Screen" upfront, many have
seatback brainwashing stations as well. Each "Smart" component is
incidentally so much filth in someone else's back yard. In so-called
"developed countries" ignorance is bliss, ergo I am smart because my
devices and vehicles brainwash me, and because I am blind to the Nickel,
Cadmium, Lead, Radon, Radium, Thorium, Cobalt, Uranium (deformed children), and Lithium seeping
into someone else's drinking water.
The Fossil Fuel
consumption is and will be off the charts in the Rare Earth Elements mining
districts of China (Reserves: 44 million MT), Brazil (Reserves: 22 million MT),
Vietnam (Reserves: 22 million MT), Russia (Reserves: 12 million MT), India
(Reserves: 6.9 million MT), Australia (Reserves: 3.4 million MT) and the United
States (Reserves: 1.4 million MT). The Carbon that Tesla and their peers claim
does not come out of the tailpipe will be belching out of the seven mining
districts above for 100-200 years into the future. Exactly what "Planet is
being saved?" The Smart Green Save the Planet cars are, figuring in the
Iron Mining and Steel Smelting, just as polluting and planet-killing as any of
the former automobile business models. My car left 200 years of soil and water
pollution in Vietnam and Baotou, so it is "clean, green, smart and I am saving the planet".
Tell that to the people drinking our car's Radium, Thorium, Uranium, et al.
The deformed kids in the mining locale that "grew"
our car was mined out of, they know far too much about Heavy Metal Poisoning. Why are we being brainwashed that our devices and cars are "smart" and "green?" Why are we paying thousands (trillions) of dollars to be brainwashed by screens lying to us, spying on us and creating cesspools of poison globally? Many of the articles on Rare Earth Extraction "Investment" Schemes make it sound like a science, a noble business enterprise - rather than what it is, Slave Labor and Centuries of Pollution Posing As Green Tech.
